Abstract

Malaria remains a major vector-borne parasitic disease with substantial public 
health implications, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. Transmitted 
through the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes, malaria is caused by 
Plasmodium parasites, primarily Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax. 
Despite significant progress in control efforts over recent decades, malaria continues 
to cause considerable morbidity and mortality, especially in low- and middle-income 
countries. Persistent transmission is driven by factors such as climate variability, 
population movement, poverty, drug resistance, and inadequate health 
infrastructure
